Welcome To The Next Step in My Life…

I want to thank you so very much for taking the time to join me today. I have never blogged before and to be honest with you dear reader, at the time that I am typing this I am quite excited and nervous about this new adventure that I’ve begun.

Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton

I hope that you’ll be patient with me throughout this journey and that you’ll offer CONSTRUCTIVE criticism from time-to-time. I will ALWAYS appreciate POSITIVE feedback.

As I’m sure you may have noticed in my “Tagline” for my site, one of my favorite verses of scripture… He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Matthew 16:15. This verse, a little over 4 years ago from this date, was a catalyst that would launch me over an edge and into an abyss where, for what seemed to be a never-ending eternity, my best friends and only companions seemed to be hope and faith.

He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Matthew 16:15

I write this article as a greeting to you and I hope that you will stick with me and hear my story. I wish to share my Journey with you, not only from the last 4 years of my life, but as I continue my journey from this point forward. A friend of mine once told me that the day we stop learning is the day we die.

My prayers are that God’s will be done and my hope is that my writing, as plain and simple as it may be, will serve as inspiration for others who have been in my shoes. My first and foremost desire in this world is to serve God. He is my master, my friend and my father… It is my fervent wish as I know it is His, to proclaim His truth to anyone that is searching for truth, for faith, for love or for hope…

Now, let me be clear dear reader… I DO NOT have all of the answers and I will never presume to say that I do. I can only tell you what I have discovered in the teachings of the Catholic Church and from my own life experiences.

I will do my best to provide clear evidence for everything I write about; however, you must keep in mind, and I don’t think anyone would disagree with me on this point, that when one talks about faith… one must have the capacity to accept some things that simply cannot be proven (or it isn’t faith). May God’s will be done above all else.

Faith is to believe what we do not see, and the reward of this faith is to see what we believe. – St. Augustine

Finally, I shall end with another one of my favorite passages of Scripture… From Numbers 6:24-26… “The Lord bless you and keep you! The Lord let his face shine upon you, and be gracious unto you! The Lord look upon you kindly and give you peace!”

Until next time dear reader…

Your Servant in Christ,

William

Absolutely enjoyed the blog. I joined the Catholic Church in 2009 after realizing what I was missing out on in my life. Ever since I have been at peace with my decision. I will follow your blog and look forward to reading about more of your journey.
